This ground up development project in the Mission Hills area of San Diego consisted of complete design and build of this 4,000 square foot home. Inspired by NDD principal’s cultural influences the home contains three levels. The ground level consisted of a garage, granny suite and home theatre. The mid level consisted
of an office, greatroom, family room and kitchen. The top level has 4 bedrooms and a laundry room. This site was challenging due to its slope and flood plain. In order to resolve the site drainage issues, NDD raised the sites grade and added a large pipe with butterfly catch to route the water from rain runoff. NDD also cut into the slope to position the house at a higher elevation.
